Sam’s Club will let you buy in bulk without a membership for three days in August, according to Walletpop. Non-members can take advantage of the warehouse club’s open house on August 6, 7 and 8.

"The last time we did that was for Sam's 25th anniversary in 2008," Sam's Club spokeswoman Susan Koehler told Walletpop.  Koehler added that the promotion is intended to basically let consumers try Sam’s Club for free.

Typically, customers must purchase an annual membership to shop at Sam’s. Their standard business version typically costs members $35 a year, though Sam’s Club also offers an Advantage Membership for $40, an Advantage Plus Membership for $100 and a Business Plus Membership for $100. You can check out what each membership entitles you to here.

Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Inc., sells food, electronics, appliances, jewelry, clothing, among other things, to more than 47 million customers in 600 locations nationwide. According to their web site, the chain saves its members on average 30.4% over grocery and specialty retailers “by offering superior values on quality merchandise and services for home or work.” Basically, customers save by buying products in bulk.

The hours of operation vary from location to location, but most Sam’s Clubs are open 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.  You can check out the hours of a Sam’s Club near you here.
