Morning Deals: $50 Off the iPad 2 at Best Buy
NEW YORK (MainStreet) – In anticipation of the iPad 3 that’s rumored to launch next month, Best Buy is discounting the current-generation iPad 2 by $50. That $50 discount applies across the board, which means that the baseline 16 GB Wi-Fi model is $449.99, the 16 GB 3G model is $579.99, and so on. With that said, keep in mind that there’s a good chance the iPad 2 will likely be offered at an even greater discount as the new version’s launch date approaches. If you’re willing to wait, sit tight and see what the iPad 3 has to offer, then check out what discounts happen on the iPad 2 once it’s officially the older-generation model.
Daily deal website DailySteals.com offers a stainless-steel automatic pepper grinder for $4.99. All you do is press the button at the top to grind pepper (or salt), which is nice during cooking projects when you don’t have both hands free to operate a manual pepper grinder. The pepper and four AAA batteries are not included, and shipping adds an additional $4.99. The deal expires at 11:59 p.m. EST tonight.
Redbox is currently holding a “Free Game Nights” promotion, in which you can get the first day of a video game rental for free. The promotion is good on game rentals for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii made through Thursday, and if you keep your game longer than a day you’ll be charged $2 per day. The reservation must be made online and you must have a payment card on file.
