jumped in premarket trading after disclosing a homeland security contract worth up to $750 million.
The Blue Bell, Pa., information technology company will continue building, securing and managing IT infrastructure for the Transportation Security Administration of the Homeland Security Department. It will do the same for the Homeland Department's headquarters facility.
The contract is for one year with two one-year options exercisable at the government's discretion. The base year is worth $308 million to Unisys, with the total "ceiling value" at $750 million.
Unisys shares rose 26 cents, or 4.5%, to $6.07.
