York currently serves as chief executive of Micro Warehouse.

The resignation of the directors is part of Tyco's plan to replace the nine directors who served under former chairman Dennis Kozlowski. Kozlowski and former finance chief Mark Swartz are charged with looting millions of dollars from the company through various transactions.
