TSC 21: Losses Across the Board

On a rough day for the overall market, every member of the index closes lower.

A tough day for the broad market was reflected in TheStreet.com 21, which finished Wednesday with a loss of 12.8 points, or 1.2%, to end at 1094.41. Every stock in the index closed lower.

The major averages lost ground for the second straight day. The

Dow Jones Industrial Average

dropped 86.74 points, or 0.9%, to 9420.46, and the

Nasdaq

fell 49.55 points, or 2.6%, to 1823.88.

Overall, TheStreet.com 21 is still up 94.41 points, or 9.4%, from its start on July 3, at 1000.

Leading the decline was
