TheStreet.com 21 index kept its momentum on a rocky Tuesday in the market.
The index hit a new record of 1053.31, up 6.71 points, or 0.6%, from Monday's close. The broader markets rose as well, shaking off news of deadly terrorist attacks in Baghdad and Jerusalem. The
Dow Jones Industrial Average
closed up 16.45 points, or 0.2%, at 9428.90, and the
Nasdaq
rose 21.62 points, or 1.2%, to land at 1761.11.
Solectron
( SLR) rose 51 cents, or 9.9%, to close at $5.67, while
Continental Airlines

rose 39 cents, or 2.8%, to $14.21.
E*Trade
(ET) - Get Energy Transfer LP Report
gained 24 cents, or 2.7%, to $8.99, while
Yahoo!

closed at $32.03, up 74 cents, or 2.4%.
Manpower
(MAN) - Get ManpowerGroup Report
, the staffing company, rose on hopes of a labor resurgence. It reached $39.40, up 91 cents, or 2.4%.
