)-- Believe it or not, the hottest cars aren't the most frequently stolen vehicles.

The Honda Accord was the most stolen in several states including: New York, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Kansas, Georgia, Nevada Colorado, Virginia, Washington, South Carolina, Connecticut, North Carolina and California.

So far this year 97,655 vehicles have been stolen and not recovered. In 2009, 794,616 vehicles were stolen, down from 956,846 in 2008, according to the NICB report. Most of the cars that were not recovered are believed to have ended up in chop shops and sold for parts.

The 1995 Honda Civic was the second most stolen car in the nation. It was the top stolen vehicle in Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Utah and New Jersey.

Camry was the third most stolen car in the nation. It didn't top the lists of any states, but overall it remained a high candidate for theft.

F-150 Pickup was the fourth most stolen car in the nation. It topped the charts in North Carolina, South Dakota, North Dakota, West Virginia, Alaska, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

The 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup was the fifth most stolen car in the United State. It was the top car stolen in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Texas.

The sixth most stolen car was the 2000 Dodge Caravan. It was also the top car stolen in Washington DC., New Mexico, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The seventh most stolen car was the 1994 Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size). It was the top car stolen in Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Nebraska, Tennessee and Oklahoma.

The eight most stolen car in the nation was the 1994 Acura Integra.

The ninth most stolen car in the United States was the 2002 Ford Explorer.

The tenth most stolen car in the nation was the 2009 Toyota Corolla.
