Over the past several weeks many of you have asked that we take steps to improve our message boards. And, as promised, we've now done so. The new, improved boards will debut this week.
These boards will be the best place on the Web for thought-provoking discussion fueled by up-to-the-minute commentary and breaking news throughout
If you have suggestions on how to further improve the boards, or simply like what you see, feel free to drop our community staff a line at
As part of our upgrade, we'll now have ticker-based boards. Along with intelligent commentary boards, we'll also be delivering the most intelligent and insightful equities-based discussion on the Web.
Don't see a board for your favorite stock? Well, now you'll be able to start a board yourself. Simply type the ticker into the "ticker search" field and your board will be automatically created.
You'll also be able to rate posts. And you'll be able to let other users know about particularly good posts by using our new rating system.
If you don't have time to read the posts you want to check out, you can take advantage of our new printer-friendly version to print them out and take them with you. You'll also be able to search for posts made in the past 24 hours and do other, broader searches of the new boards.
Plus, you can follow the conversation closer than ever before. Now you have the choice of viewing posts as they trickle in or sorting messages by discussion thread. Can't decide which is better? Then toggle between the "Date View" and the "Threaded View" at the post level!
Finally, as part of our effort to strengthen the message boards, each day we'll spotlight posts that make sense of the market, make you think and make you laugh. Look for our new weekly and daily features highlighting great posts, hot boards and popular stocks.
These new boards, building on the strength of our original version, will house the smartest, most informative conversation on the Web. Check it out this week on
