Superior Energy


said its third-quarter earnings will fall at least 50% short of analysts' expectations due to tropical storms that have disrupted business.

The company expects to earn between 2 cents and 4 cents a share, compared with 22 cents per share a year ago. Analysts were expecting the company to earn 10 cents a share.
