This market's getting jiggie on us. It is taking on a nasty tone.

We just bought a little

VeriSign

(VRSN) - Get Report

down 18 and we are bidding for some

Motorola

(MOT)

and

Hewlett-Packard

(HWP)

. But we don't have much conviction because the selling is so program related, so futures derived that we don't think it is price sensitive and we could see still lower prices later today.

Should we be more worried? I don't know. Take

PMC-Sierra

(PMCS)

. This stock had been up virtually 150 straight points. Maybe it is OK that it comes down a tad. Same with

Applied Micro

(AMCC)

.

Profit-taking Friday. Can't say much more about it than that.

Opportunity, not catastrophe.
