Shaken, But Not Stirred, Gary B. Has An Offer For Bond Fans
When your eldest gets braces, does that mean you've officially moved into middle age? Or is it when they start driving? In any event, if I'm not exactly an old geezer, I'm getting there. You don't want to get any magnets near my daughter Katherine. She recently had her last stick of gum for awhile. But on the other hand, she does a pretty good "Jaws" (not the movie, the
James Bond
villain) imitation.
And while we're at it, I believe I am the world's foremost
James Bond
aficionado. Best bad guy he faced? I have my vote, and if you match, you get top priority on question answering. To make it hard, though, I need the actor's name who played your fave bad guy.

Air Is Pretty Thin Here
My friend keeps telling me to buy Atlas Air (CGO) - Get Report. I'm not going to. But he has this fascination with it. (And in my opinion, he owns too many shares -- on margin!) It's already down a bit, so could you please analyze the chart for me? I'm still an amateur and want to give him an intelligent opinion on whether to stay long or not. -- David Dorfman
Superstar in the Making
First, the requisite fawning -- your column is the first one I go to. With that out of the way, I would really appreciate your analysis of Adobe Systems (ADBE) - Get Report. It seems too good to be true -- a tech stock that makes great products, profits and even pays a dividend, all at a price-to-earnings ratio of under 50. I've made a small sum on the stock but have been perplexed by its behavior in the last four weeks. It was seemingly range-bound, but has been going crazy the last few days, hitting new highs, dropping almost 10% and hitting higher highs today. I'd love to see your analysis of its chart. -- Bryan Ball
No Golden Opportunity Here
How about gold stocks (the Gold and Silver Sector Index, Barrick Gold (ABX) , Newmont Mining (NEM) - Get Report)? Seems to me they have a very strong support area and base. The outstanding thing about this is that gold stocks made a series of roughly equal lows while gold itself made lower lows. That shows relative strength. Since then, there are the beginnings of a rally, although we are still stuck in a large range. -- Dirk Van Til
Priced for Risk
Can I please get your take on priceline.com (PCLN) ? After falling with other Net stocks in early August, the stock never rebounded with the rally. However, it seems to be basing. Would this be a good entry point? -- K. Dole
Buy the Breakout
Ah, finally, a column that is easy on the eyes and easy on the brain. Love those charts -- they do my thinking for me, and believe me, I need all the help I can get. What's your take on BroadVision (BVSN) - Get Report? I've been nibbling on it but am wondering if it's ready for a pullback. -- Virginia Greenstone
A Snoozer of a Stock
Warner-Lambert (WLA) broke out of a down trendline in July and since has fallen back. Has it again broken out of a down trendline? Or is the chart just a lot of noise? -- Jeff Dean
StarTek Goes Boldly Upward
Might you take a look at StarTek (SRT) - Get Report and Concord Communications (CCRD) for your readers? I think they are both winners; breakouts in evidence. -- Wade Klosterman
Wade,
As always, one to a customer. Today, SRT.
Headed for the TOPP
Could please give your opinion on Topps (TOPP) ? Could it drop a little more, or would it be best to get in now? -- Bill Podley
