Seven U.S. soldiers taken prisoner by Iraq were found by Marines Sunday in a town north of Baghdad.
The seven included five from the unit of Pfc. Jessica Lynch who were ambushed and captured after their convoy took a wrong turn in the city of Nasiriya and was ambushed. The other two were crew members of an Apache helicopter shot down near Karbala in an attack on Republican Guard units.
According to wire service reports, all were in relatively good shape, although two were wounded. The marines were led to the POWs by Iraqi soldiers. The freed POWs were flown to a base in Kuwait.
