Bernard Madoff's wife Ruth withdrew $15.5 million from a brokerage firm affiliated with her husband shortly before he was arrested in December,

reported Wednesday.

The report cited the Massachusetts Secretary of State's office. According to the report, Ruth Madoff withdrew $5.5 million Nov. 25 and $10 million Dec. 10 from Cohmad Securities, which was co-owned by Bernard Madoff.

Bernard Madoff was arrested Dec. 11, and he is being investigated for orchestrating a massive Ponzi scheme.
