The New York-based advertising and marketing conglomerate said net income rose to $206.1 million, or $1.10 a share, from $180 million, or 96 cents a share, in the same period last year.
Revenue rose to $2.41 billion from $2.15 billion in the prior year. Domestic revenue rose 11%, and international revenue increased 13%.
Analysts had forecast earnings of $1.08 a share on revenue of $2.40 billion, according to Thomson First Call.
Shares of Omnicom were recently up 18 cents to $69.58 in early Tuesday trading.
