, exploded last week, leaving 11 workers still missing.
It is estimated that the rig is expelling oil at a rate of 5,000 barrels a day, far more than prior estimate of 1,000 barrels a day. So significant is the spill, the search term "Exxon Valdez" has even spiked onto the top of the most-searched list today, too -- a sign that online users are sensing the potential magnitude of the disaster.
Since the explosion, shares of BP have tumbled 13% while Transocean is down nearly 15%.
