Yahoomc:

Welcome to Yahoo! Chat. Today we'll get the lowdown on the market with

TheStreet.com's

one and only Jim Cramer!

Yahoomc:

And now, here he is ... the one and only Jim Cramer!

Creme_Delacramer:

Let's ramp, let's get at right at 'em, I am raring to go.

edm_u asks:

There's been rumors about Amazon taking out Borders, what do you think?

Creme_Delacramer:

Why would a great Net company want to ally with a not so great brick and mortar company?

Creme_Delacramer:

That would make no sense to me.

attyatlaw001 asks:

Jim, Do you think the recent disfavor with the techs (dell, msft, etc.) has run its course?

Creme_Delacramer:

Not until the bond market reverses for MSFT, but I think CSCO will rally beginning tomorrow. With these great numbers just reported; and I am long all three.

paramount2 asks:

Jim, if one of your daughters had the chance to be an intern at Goldman or Tiger, what would you recommend?

Creme_Delacramer:

Not a chance; we have too much stock market at home as it is; I want them to be artists, writers, something with creativity.

bbrassy asks:

I have 25% internet, 25% IPO and 50% bluechip, is this too risky?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think you are 50% too risky and I would take ten percent and put it in cash.

Trench_rat asks:

With interrest rates closing in on 6 points now; do you see a sharp and violent correction if we reach this "fearsome" number?

Creme_Delacramer:

Not until 6.25-6.5% would the correction be fierce, but there will be a correction crossing 6% for sure.

avij123 asks:

Jim, do you like DoubleClick ?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think DCLK has a terrific business model, but I don't own the stock right now.

francis_m_ngai asks:

In Internet advertising, would you invest in DoubleClick, NetGravity, or AdForce?

Creme_Delacramer:

My favorite of that troika is DCLK by far.

tenny asks:

How do you see the database stocks like Oracle, Informix and Sybase?

Creme_Delacramer:

I don't see them; I try very hard not to look at them!

RB_UK_TSC asks:

Jim, there was double the normal action in Keycorp today, do you think the mid-west is still set for more regional bank consolidation ?

Creme_Delacramer:

I have been burned playing Key for a takeout so many times, I am a bad person to ask.

SteveP1957 asks:

Thoughts on Dell/Pfizer?

Creme_Delacramer:

Name me one computer company that is hot again, and a drug company that is ice cold.

GHuhn88397 asks:

Jim, how do you like this tape? Will we see Dow 12k or 9k next?

Creme_Delacramer:

I would bet on the 12k, but I think the DOW is now ahead of itself versus the bonds.

Zombob asks:

Do you think that the net stocks could retest highs before the next reporting period?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think the Net acts great. I will say this, if the bonds were to go back to 5.65 I think the net would explode to the upside. But the bonds have to be in your favor for that to happen.

cpoe98 asks:

What do you think about Realnetworks?

Creme_Delacramer:

It has had too much of a move for my tastes.

Follow_The_MOB asks:

Jim, when and you and Padinah going to put on the gloves?

Creme_Delacramer:

I don't think it is fair for a heavyweight to fight bantoms, the New York Boxing authority wouldnt let him in the ring with me; maybe Wyoming would!

dougieO asks:

I really enjoy

TheStreet.com

. Any thoughts on Viacom with the impending Blockbuster spinoff?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think Viacom is stalled here. I want to see the financials of Viacom without Blockbuster to make a better judgment.

stefan1_reino1 asks:

Is AES a play on Brazil?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yeah, but I would rather play Brazil with Brazil--not a hybrid.

JErickson8 asks:

You spoke to Boeing's Condit recently, and he referred to a turn around in 1999. Yet Boeing continues to plan big layoffs. What am I missing?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think you are missing the ongoing consolidation between Maddog (the old McDonnel Doug) and Boeing. That continues.

mba852 asks:

When trading equities, do you look at level II quotes in much detail or are you more focussed on big picture - longer term trends?

Creme_Delacramer:

I personally am bigger picture, but my trader looks at Level II.

RB_UK_TSC asks:

Jim , Will Old Media spice up the summer tech doldrums with their renewed interest in On-Line media ?

Creme_Delacramer:

Maybe, but that may require some of these guys to buy computers, and I don't know if they would know where to find them? Maybe yellow pages?

Trench_rat asks:

Is AOL's corrective phase over or what? Think this was the last buying opportunity for awhile?

Creme_Delacramer:

No, there will be more opportunities--plenty of them.

zippyguy_99 asks:

Please talk about Internet video - White Pine, MSFT, Visitalk and video chat portals.

Creme_Delacramer:

I am not close enough to those. I like the standard net plays and I have not done enough work on these to talk about them.

avij123 asks:

What Is Your ONE Favorite stock today?

Creme_Delacramer:

Cisco.

MaLissA682 asks:

What is your favorite TV show?

Creme_Delacramer:

Millennium.

seatra asks:

Hey Jim, what can stop the cyclical rally?

Creme_Delacramer:

The cyclical rally can only be stopped by a sudden spike in interest rates, one that is so violent that it stops the re-emergence of Latin America and Asia.

avij123 asks:

Do you like Citigroup?

Creme_Delacramer:

Very much, but I like Goldman better.

SteveP1957 asks:

Is it to late to invest in Brazil?

Creme_Delacramer:

I don't think so at all. TBH used to be much higher. I see a very, very big turn down there, and I think it will be multi-year as long as Fraga is Finance Minister.

EVREP asks:

How long do you think Blue Chips will struggle?

Creme_Delacramer:

They are hostage to the bonds market; I think bonds are overdone to the downside, and I am long them. But they have not budged up yet.

otter_dtx asks:

Hey JJC -- Any thoughts on StarMedia?

Creme_Delacramer:

I have done a lot of work with this company; seems top- notch.

Waves8 asks:

Does Star Wars break Titanic's record?

Creme_Delacramer:

Heck, I am better at novels than movies.

namit98 asks:

Hey Jim any views on lodging stocks., Starwood or Marriott

Creme_Delacramer:

I am sick of the Starwood ad that says that Starwood is sleeping with my wife or something stupid like that, I'll tell you. I don't like lodging or gaming.

DJEChmiel asks:

Britain has just announced that it is to sell off a large portion of its gold reserves. What do you see as the implications of this for both gold stocks and the economy in general?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think gold, as I said today in my column, is in a permanent downtrend, and cant be bought. In fact I think gold could be a casualty of the 20th century.

rjumont asks:

How do you see Ameritrade and E*Trade compared to Merrill et al in the long term?

Creme_Delacramer:

They are the embodiment of what is happening on the net; Merrill is an also-ran.

angf36 asks:

Jim, what does your basket of nets look like now?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yahoo., AOL, E-Bay and Cisco (which I regard as a net stock).

bbigsby asks:

Is the euro death spiral over? Or does it flip and flop with the Kosovo news still?

Creme_Delacramer:

Euro death spiral still on; full speed ahead, down.

savvy1000 asks:

Who will buy LCOS?

Creme_Delacramer:

I don't think it has to be bought.

Mitch_Stewart asks:

Jim, how did you like AT&T's cable deal? Are you still long T?

Creme_Delacramer:

I am still long T; I think this guy Armstrong is a titan, just a titan. I love that guy. He is one of those guys that people go around saying "he is da man."

surridgebj asks:

Do you think there's anything to the recent takeover rumors concerning 3COM?

Creme_Delacramer:

No.

GNeren asks:

WCOM does not seem to be moving with the other old techs. Is there a problem?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think that WCOM threw us off with this Nextel stuff, and then it got hurt because of the bond market, but I remain long it.

wmfan_99 asks:

Cramer when you buy stocks, do you set target price at which you get out?

Creme_Delacramer:

Nah, I am not a broker. That's broker speak. I get out when it is right!!

bradncote asks:

Do you have any stock market tips for a student playing the stock market game in my high school economics class?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yes, I want you to read

Turn of the Century

, a novel by

Kurt Andersen

--dont tell anyone, but Andersen gives you a manual for trading that beats any of the non-fiction books out there. It is the basic primer and you should start with it.

clu_152 asks:

Why is priceline down this week? And do you think it will rebound?

Creme_Delacramer:

Oh Gee. Give me a break. Priceline has been a big, big winner. Maybe Sulu has left the company. Or Bones. I would not worry. It is doing very well.

anythingthatgoesup1 asks:

Jim, what is the longest you've held a stock in your Hedge Fund? Does everything get traded?

Creme_Delacramer:

No, I own at least half a dozen stocks from when my wife worked with me six year ago.

wmfan_99 asks:

If the global economy is doing well why are Coke, Pepsi, Gillette, and MCD not doing so well?

Creme_Delacramer:

Because they are so-called defensive stocks. They do well when things do badly. Nobody really cuts back on Mickey Ds in bad times, but they do cut back on CAT and DEERE. Now those construction stocks are roaring and KO and MCD are being left behind. They are too defensive.

MikeNau asks:

Jim, what are your thoughts on Cardinal Health (CAH) and the Pharmaceutical Distribution Business?

Creme_Delacramer:

That's like asking me my thoughts on the Eagles and the Giants. Why don't you wait till next year?

jennw00 asks:

How does it feel to be considered sexy?

Creme_Delacramer:

I will let you know when I feel that way.

Mitch_Stewart asks:

Cramer, the oil services stocks have pulled back a bit recently, is this a good buying opportunity?

Creme_Delacramer:

I bought some Halliburton today on a pullback but I am not enthralled with the sector.

jamesmillstead asks:

Where do you see the bond market going and what affect will it have on the technology issues?

Creme_Delacramer:

Great question James Mill!! Here is my take, I think bonds trade to almost 6% and then have a wild rally to 5.625 and the Dells and the Cisco really motor back. Now, you have.

Creme_Delacramer:

Now, you have to know that I am long the bonds and Cisco and Dell, but if I weren't I would be jive talking.

I2_pac asks:

Jim, what do you think about Proctor and Gamble? It's been a successful investment on and off over the years. Any tips?

Creme_Delacramer:

Right now it is off; I would tell you that Colgate is better! I am long it. Hey, guess who just walked in,

Kurt Andersen

, the author of

Turn of the Century

, and the man who spent more time on my trading desk than any outsider ever.

Creme_Delacramer:

He would love any questions, and he is smart and a fast typist.

jregulator asks:

Are you looking at small caps as a sector?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yeah, a sector to avoid.

KerryGirl2000 asks:

What's do you think about Comdisco?

Creme_Delacramer:

CDO is boring.

EatDust11 asks:

Mr. Cramer, Do you like Warner Lambert as a long term?

Creme_Delacramer:

Not any more; I think it is played out.

RB_UK_TSC asks:

Jim, Americans own 75% of British Steel , wise anti-colonial investment or dead money ?

Creme_Delacramer:

Throw it in the Boston Harbor and declare freedom from boredom.

R571190 asks:

Jim tell me what you think of Catapilar, would you buy it now?

Creme_Delacramer:

Cat has had too much of a move but I would buy it on any pullback.

How do you like DIMD? MP3?

Creme_Delacramer:

I defer to Jim Seymour from our site who knows more than I do.

bbrassy asks:

Do we buy the book through Amazon or BN?

Creme_Delacramer:

Handing off to

Kurt:

One from each.

feedlot1 asks:

Kurt-what's the best part of your book (in your opinion)?

Kurt

And which child is my favorite? I can't say. But Part 4 is the Wall Street, Cramerized section.

panicprofit asks:

Kurt, did you learn how to trade while studying with JC?

Kurt:

I learned how

James Cramer

trades. I learned that I am not wired to be a trader.

dranxo asks:

Will writer's like Kurt ever set up their own web-site and sell their wares directly?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yes. In 2013.

Waves8 asks:

Do you see a consolidation in on line auctioneers?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think that the only consolidation coming is that Ebay will clean up, but I am long Ebay.

panicprofit asks:

Kurt, how many donuts did you buy Cramer to get into the office?

Creme_Delacramer:

Kurt is the least suck up guy I know.; I think I bought him Krispy Kremes.

edfish_99 asks:

Is Walmart a buy?

Creme_Delacramer:

I wish I owned it. I own Dayton and ANF but I sold my WMT.

Tabadoa_1 asks:

Jim, do the Knicks stand a chance?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yes, but watch my Sixers tonight please!

wmfan_99 asks:

If interest rates go up and stay there would you consider shorting home builder stocks or its too early?

Creme_Delacramer:

The homebuilder stocks seem to have minds of their own. They haven't traded with rates lately and I would not short them.

i_opro asks:

Mr.Cramer, tell me, please, what do you think about BAMM?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think that BAMM is a SLAM to lower levels, but I am not short it.

What is your opinion on Frontier Airlines?

Creme_Delacramer:

I don't like the airlines.

liesureboy asks:

Is the Pacific Rim and Japan a strong buy at this time?

Creme_Delacramer:

Yes, I think so, although I like Brazil even more.

rcooke25 asks:

Jim, what do you think of the NBC deal with snap.com and Xoom.com?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think it was a very smart way to create a currency that can do acquisitions without hurting GE's earnings.

theSchnuzz asks:

Jim, thoughts on NKE?

Creme_Delacramer:

I wish I had bought it after covering my short. I think I missed it.

Ryco1 asks:

Jim, What is your take on Mr. Greenspan? Is he allowing the markets (bond and stock) do the hard work for him?

Creme_Delacramer:

Who am I to even criticize that guy. He has gotten it so right. He is allowing the markets do their thing.

Mitch_Stewart asks:

Jim, how do you feel about the second tier Internet stocks now, i.e, Ebay, Inkt, etc..?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think they are a great place to be, and are less played out. I also think there will be a lot of Net stocks added to the S&P soon.

avij123 asks:

What's your opinion on AOL ?

Creme_Delacramer:

AOL is still a stock to own. I think it got punished unfairly after the T-Media one hoopla, and I think it can go higher.

Ohh_Brian_YESSS asks:

Like Starbucks, the stock?

Creme_Delacramer:

No, I like Starbucks the coffee.

gmanxxi asks:

Where do you see Yahoo T and AOL finish the year?

Creme_Delacramer:

These are Net stocks. Every day is a lifetime. Every day! I can't predict that far in the future.

lakgjk asks:

Short term and long term on DIS - is the mouse alive and kicking?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think this company will do very little, and I think it has to get its act together.

Candelax asks:

Hi, Jim. What do you think of Copper Mountain and the other broadband IPO's?

Creme_Delacramer:

More on Dis--maybe it is time for new management to step in, too. I did not like Eisner's comment that Dis, like KO, doesn't need to show short term performance. We all need to show performance all of the time. That is the game we have to play.

Creme_Delacramer:

Broadband Ipos are getting too hot for me!

johnlunt asks:

Do you see any reason to play the S&Ls?

Creme_Delacramer:

None whatsoever.

BillyDaKiddy asks:

What do you think of real estate investment trust as an investment?

I am in AZ and use @home and it has been a nightmare. Do you think it will take years for cable Internet service to get it right?

Creme_Delacramer:

I am not sure; I have had good success with Comcast at home, so I have to think it may be something in your area.

tpinson1980 asks:

Does AMZN have to provide forward visibility before its stock price will start moving again?

Creme_Delacramer:

No, because Bezos has said that nothing matters other than Amazon itself. Amazon is kind of like a cult, not a stock now.

Creme_Delacramer:

Probably Vertical Net.

zigman58 asks:

Is Ebay a buy at this price?

Creme_Delacramer:

I hope so, as I bought some here.

wmfan_99 asks:

What about Home Depot?

Creme_Delacramer:

I tried to buy some today. I was not aggressive enough. Great company.

Biakabatuka asks:

Mr. Cramer - Thanks for your advice over the years. You've taught me a bunch about the market. Anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts were long term on Dell, especially if they are having a blockbuster quarter. Will it revive the PC sector?

Creme_Delacramer:

I think what is good for Dell at this point is just what is good for Dell. I would not think beyond that--I am long Dell.

Creme_Delacramer:

Yes, and, more important, they are incredibly nice, good guys.

Anonymous989898 asks:

Cramer - Is the DOW still the hot sector ? How high can AA go ?

Creme_Delacramer:

Will ABC and CBS soon follow into "new media"?

feedlot1 asks:

JJC, what's your prediction on Msft v. Gov't? Will Msft be forced to split up the business?

Creme_Delacramer:

No MSFT will do okay, it has been a drag lately on the stock, as has the billions that seem to be burning in Bill's pockets of late.

Creme_Delacramer:

I keep waiting for him to call me and give me a billion dollars not to talk to Yahoo and AOL!

What is your forecast for Cablevision.....short term and long term?

Both fine companies and if the net stays hot they will stay hot.

frankblack666 asks:

I have had and remain a large shareholder in MBK, which is the best bank in Japan, meaning it is the most solvent.

cpoe98 asks:

What do you think of the future of distributors like Tech Data and Ingram?

Creme_Delacramer:

Past is prologue.

curbcrusher asks:

Will you ever bring your wife on Squawk with you sometime?

Creme_Delacramer:

Not a snowball's chance in . . . . She was with me at WIlliamsburg and she studiously avoided the cameras no matter how often they panned in her direction. She is embarrassed by all of this hoopla.

Exactly what he is doing; who am I to question that guy, although he gives a lot of money away to cable guys!

TheStreet.com

mnerts asks:

Can a person make good money only trading cash mergers?

Creme_Delacramer:

If you buy them before the mergers, but then you will go to jail if you have insider info. Arbs cane make good money, but that is a hard business and can be devastating if one falls through.
