hit the jackpot in Finland.
The lottery-systems company announced Monday it has signed a five-year contract that could generate as much as $67 million in revenue with Veikkaus Oy, operator of the Finnish national lottery. The contract could last until 2013; it contains provisions for automatic extensions.
GTech plans to replace the lottery's existing system with one based on GTech's Enterprise Series architecture. The system will include interactive games and online lotteries and will use GTech's Altura terminals. GTech will also service the system over the life of the contract.
GTech expects to get about $38 million to $40 million in revenue from installing the new system and incremental service revenue between $25 million and $27 million.
