What a week we just had. In many respects. Me? I'm thankful my family is back together under one roof. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.

You have questions, I have answers. And sometimes they even match! Send any and all to

technicalforum@thestreet.com. I'll be here next week, same Bat time, same Bat channel!

Wait for the Break

What is your opinion on priceline.com (PCLN) ? It's currently about 20 points below the 50-day moving average. The formation also seems to be a narrowing triangle. Is this signaling the possibility of breaking its downward trend? -- Pat Power

Pokemon Play

What do you think of 4Kids Entertainment (KIDE) ? Is it basing before the next move up? Great stock to play the Pokemon craze. -- John Orona

Find Another Puppy

Looking at Veeco Instruments (VECO) - Get Report. Seems to have hit support at 29 again. The recent semiconductor tumble scared me out of it for about a day and a half (out at 29, back in at 30 1/4). Looks like if it could break the downward trendline, this puppy could have some serious upside. What do you think? -- Erik van de Venne

Ugly Face

I'm starting to learn about the market. And I'm interested in reading your column. I have a stock that has given me a long face too long. This is Nu Skin Enterprises (NUS) - Get Report. Would you please give me your view on this one? -- S. Kim Sebold

Quality Trend Line

You have stressed qualitative trend lines. What is your trend line on MiniMed (MNMD) , and have the recent wild swings violated your trend? Does your qualitative trend look at closes or bottoms? --John Oleary

This Trend Isn't Your Friend

Would you please consider giving me your TA opinion on Direct Focus (DFXI) ? This was traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange as Bowflex. In June 1998 the company changed its name. A few months ago the company jumped down to the Nasdaq, and I was sure it would be given a higher multiple. But it hasn't performed as I would have liked. I bought this stock years ago and have seen it move up significantly, and I don't want to give back much more. -- Michael Honeycutt

Barely Bearish on Ameritrade

You are on my must-read list. A couple of weeks ago, you were very bullish on Ameritrade (AMTD) - Get Report. I have been long Ameritrade previously and liked what I saw and jumped in. Since then it has dropped 25%. However, I do feel it will change in the near term to a positive. Could you give it a second look and explain what happened? -- John Hare
