Asian Stocks End Lower; Nikkei Down 1.3%
Asian stocks ended mostly lower Thursday following a mostly flat finish on Wall Street.

) -- Asian stocks ended mostly lower Thursday following a mostly flat finish on Wall Street while European shares were trading slightly higher.
The Nikkei 225 stock average in Tokyo fell 140.96 points, or 1.3%, to 10,949.09. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost 0.3% and China's Shanghai benchmark declined 1.1%.
In London, shares rose 0.5% while in Frankfurt the market was higher by 0.7%.
Premarket futures suggest stocks will open higher Thursday on Wall Street.
On Wednesday, the
Dow Jones Industrial Average
rose 7.86, or 0.1%, to 11,124.92, the third-straight day it has closed higher. The
S&P 500
fell 0.1% and the
Nasdaq
composite index rose 0.2%.
