If Xerox (XRX) - Get Report blows up, blame Xerox. If Lexmark (LXK) blows up, blame Lexmark. If Hewlett-Packard (HWP) blows up, blame Hewlett-Packard. If Electronics For Imaging (EFII) - Get Report blows up, blame Electronics For Imaging. Hold it! Maybe something is wrong in this printer/copier business? Maybe we should be blaming the industry.

Message Boards. Here is one of those issues that is tailor-made for our message boards.

No analyst who covers this group seems to be able to get his or her arms around this situation. Have the Japanese gotten more aggressive and are now mounting a challenge? Are people using their copiers less and buying printers that do both? Is this a national or international problem? We are missing something big here.
