Wondering if this is the end of the Hong Kong experiment. Years ago I got introduced to economics watching Milton Friedman's Free to Choose series and he suggested that Hong Kong of the 70's was the world's purest form of capitalism.

Hong Kong's economy was the equivalent of 27% of Chinese GDP at the peak. ~19% when it was taken over by China and just 2.7% now. It's just not that important anymore. Someone should tell the protesters that they don't have the leverage they used to. They are just accelerating HKs demise.
