I have been reading your site for many years and could not help but be impressed how you analysed the UK Brexit debate and all the political machinations. I was born in the UK but have lived in Australia for almost 2 decades now. I could not find any main news site that gave a fair and insightful look into the Brexit debacle other than yours. I thankyou for that.

However for me your recent anti trump tirades remind me of the political opposition who will criticise all and everything. More importantly for me however has been your appalling coverage of this COVID 19 virus , especially the post regarding Hydrochlroquin. Im the first to admit that there will be a lot of people die through this, but guess what 7500 people die everyday in the US from all causes. Im looking at the recent data from NYC which shows that only 18 people out of 635 people who have died, did not have at least one underlying health issue such as diabetes, lung disease. Gee you dont think the reason it is hitting the West worse is because of the unhealthy lifestyles we lead do you.

Also find the interview on FOX news from Stephen Smith an ICU doctor who has been treating his patients on a mixture of Hydrochlroquin and antibiotics with great success. You may want to rewrite that previous post of yours.

Simplistically put, from where i come from the money raised from taxes from a strong economy pays for the health system. If the economy implodes there will be no money for hospitals, nurses and doctors and the deaths from that will be far far greater than what we are seeing now. This virus has been blown out of all proportion. I dont know why but i do see my civil liberties disappearing before my eyes. What i need from you is more analysis along the lines of what you served up on the Brexit debate because from here it appears you are pandering to your new left wing viewership.

Sorry. I posted wrong data out of NYC. The figures are 18 out of 1046 people who died had no pre existent medical conditions about 1.7%.

LOL

“We worry about selection bias in this situation. But I cannot think of a reason why, if all else is equal, why people that have received five days or more or even four days or more of this hydroxychloroquine-zithro regimen wouldn’t get intubated.”

Because selection bias invalidates your study moron. This guy is an expert and can't understand how selection bias effects outcomes. Only on Fox.

In regards to Trump please see this

Empathy

Trump displayed a quality I have never seen in him before: empathy. He spoke of black body bags as long as trucks and said "it's not supplies, it's people. I've never seen anything like it."

In reference to Italy, Trump says "We got lucky".
That's certainly a new behavior.

Importantly, Trump finally took the advice of his medical team seriously.

Trump handled himself very well and presidential.

My coverage of the coronavirus has been both consistent and accurate.

There are many issues with those drugs

And I was one of the few writers who accurately assessed early on this was serious

The problem here is that Orange Man Good is every bit as dumb as Orange Man Bad. Nearly every Trump fan I've ever talked to likes the IDEA of Trump, as presented in 2016, far more than the actual man, but they can't bring themselves to admit he's just another cheerleader for easy money and debt.

This should go without saying, but not all criticism of Trump is invalid. If you can find fault with his predecessors you can easily find it with him too. He's far from perfect, unless you work for a large bank or the MIC, but those people have wonderful relationships with every POTUS.
