NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of A10 Networks Inc. (ATEN) - Get Report are plunging, down 36.71% to $5 in late morning trading after the company announced that it now expects third quarter revenues of $43 million to $43.5 million, down from its prior guidance of $48 million to $50 million earlier today.

The company's revised forecast is lower than what analysts were expecting, with a consensus estimate of $48.69 million in revenue for the third quarter.

"We are disappointed with our preliminary revenue results, which were primarily impacted by lower than expected North America bookings and longer close cycles for deals awarded to A10," said president and CEO Lee Chen.
