said it expects third-quarter revenues to be significantly below its 1996 results. The company reported earnings of a penny per share in the third quarter 1996 and had been projected to earn three cents per share in the third quarter 1997.

LG&E Energy

(LGE)

cautioned that third-quarter earnings could be lower than last year's. In the third quarter 1996, LGE earned 62 cents per share. The Street sees LGE earning 65 cents a share in the third quarter this year.
