NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Thoma Bravo is exploring a sale of software provider Deltek following Oracle's (ORCL) - Get Report $9.3 billion purchase of cloud-based enterprise resource planning company NetSuite (N) yesterday.
The equity firm hopes the sale will be valued at approximately $3 billion, which would emphasize the popularity of companies that automate administrative operations, Reuters reports.
Thoma Bravo is working with financial advisers, such as JPMorgan (JPM), on structuring the Deltek deal, according to Reuters.
More and more private equity firms are buying up enterprise resource planning companies, Reuters added. Private equity firm KKR & Co. (KKR) announced earlier this month that it would acquire Epicore Software from the firm Apax Partners in a deal valued at $3.3 billion.
Thoma Bravo purchased Deltek in an all-cash $1.1 billion deal in 2012.
