Stocks Chug Higher in Early Trading
Stocks are higher out of the gate, but whether those gains continue ahead of the long Labor Day weekend is another story.

was recently up 48 to 7731. In the broader market, the
S&P 500
has risen 6 to 988, while the tech-heavy
Nasdaq Composite Index
has jumped 16 to 1588 and the small-cap
Russell 2000
has risen 2 to 349.

Meanwhile, Treasuries are lower across the yield curve. The benchmark 30-year Treasury bond was recently down 12/32 to 102 19/32, yielding 5.33%.
