NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- NextEra Energy Partners  (NEP) - Get Report surged on Friday after the carve out of NextEra Energy priced its IPO.

NextEra Energy Partners, which operates wind and solar energy projects, priced 16.25 million shares at $25 a share, the high end of the $23 to $25 range. 

The stock opened at $32.55 and rose to a high of $33.20 as of 11:04 a.m.
