NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Months of steady job growth in the U.S. is now punctuated by a slowing period as the market tightens.

Automatic Data Processing  (ADP) - Get ReportCFO Jan Siegmund believes that despite the slowed growth there is an optimistic side to the recent downturn.

"We actually are also seeing in our data an acceleration in wage increases," Siegmund said on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Tuesday morning. "The job market is tight but I think that will cause wages to rise in the future."

Twenty-six consecutive quarters of expansion saw more than 200,000 jobs created per month in the U.S. Siegmund thinks that the tech sector is a notable representative of this data, as "very few jobs have been created in the tech sector in the last few months, but wages have been rising fast." A shift in the last decade of jobs growth was location, as job creation moved from the Midwest and the northeast to the west in the U.S.

"If you are a young 24-year-old in the tech industry living in the west, your wages are actually rising by about 7%," Siegmund added.

Separately, TheStreet Ratings team rates ADP as a "buy" with a ratings score of A.

This is based on the convergence of positive investment measures, which should help this stock outperform the majority of stocks that TheStreet Ratings team rates. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, growth in earnings per share, increase in net income, solid stock price performance and largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures. TheStreet Ratings feels its strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows weak operating cash flow.

Recently, TheStreet Ratings objectively rated this stock according to its "risk-adjusted" total return prospect over a 12-month investment horizon. Not based on the news in any given day, the rating may differ from Jim Cramer's view or that of this articles's author.
