
Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) Stock Climbing as Private Equity Mulls Buyout
CNBC's Dom Chu, and BloombergTV's Scarlet Fu both reported this afternoon that private equity companies are mulling a buyout of Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE).
NEW YORK (TheStreet) --Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) are climbing by 6.25% to $21.58 on Friday afternoon, on reports that private equity companies are considering a buyout of HP, CNBC''s Dom Chu reported on today's "Power Lunch."
"The story goes on to name names like KKR, Apollo Global Management (APO) also Carlisle Group, all possibly snipping around Hewlett Packard Enterprise," Chu noted as to what is behind the stock moving today.
Additionally, BloombergTV reporter Scarlet Fu reported the same on "Bloomberg Markets."
"According to information private equity is set to mull buyout of HP Enterprises," she said.
