Global Markets Rally

Stocks rise in Europe and Asia.

Global stocks followed New York's Wednesday advance with upbeat sessions overnight in Asia and gains in Europe.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 rose 1.1% to 17,429, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.6% at 20,667. China's CSI 300 Index climbed 1.3% to 3494, and South Korea's Kospi was better by 0.5% at 1553.

Singapore's Straits Times Index gained 1.3% to 3407, and India's BSE Sensex tacked on 0.1% at 14,229. Australia's All Ordinaries added 0.4% to 6198.

The buying interest carried over into Europe's sessions. London's FTSE 100 was higher by 0.8% at 6492, and Frankfurt's DAX surged 1.5% to 7351. The Paris Cac 40 was also ahead by 1.5%, at 5916.

Elsewhere, the Swiss Market Index was rising 1.2% to 9370, and the Milan MIB 30 was up 1.2% at 43,364.
