Fatburger, which is owned by FAT Brands (FAT) - Get FAT Brands Inc. Class A Report , will rebrand as Skinnyburger because of popular demand for the restaurant's top menu pick.

The Skinnyburger is a bun-free burger that contains a 1/3 lb. lean beef patty cut in half with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and condiments wedged between the meat.

"We have long been considering this brand revamp to Skinnyburger and are excited for this first phase of our forthcoming store redesign and national rollout," said Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FAT Brands. "Skinnyburger will maintain the same iconic, great taste and experience of Fatburger with a slimmed down brand that we are thrilled to reintroduce to consumers nationwide."

The Skinnyburger has about 320 calories, much less than a regular Fatburger.
