Europe's Markets Slip

Stocks were on the decline in Europe Tuesday following mixed sessions in Asia's markets overnight.

London's FTSE 100 was down 0.5% at 6443, and Frankfurt's Xetra DAX was lower by 0.6% at 7292. The Paris Cac 40 and the Swiss Market Index were both losing 0.3%, to 5901 and 9409, respectively.

Milan's MIB 30 was easing 0.2% to 43,206, and the Irish Overall Index dropped 1.4% to 9569. The Copenhagen 20 was falling 1% to 484, and the Stockholm 30 was giving back 0.8% at 1268.

Earlier, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 edged down 0.02% to 17,452, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng ticked up 0.08% at 20,573. Mainland China's CSI 300 was better by 0.4% at 3445.

South Korea's Kospi Index advanced 0.8% to 1557, but Singapore's Straits Times Index fell 0.4% to 3375. India's Sensex climbed 1.5%, and Australia's All Ordinaries Index surrendered 0.3%.
