Walt Disney

(DIS:NYSE) expects hotel occupancy to fall 20% at Walt Disney World and to decline 1.5% at Disneyland in the fiscal first quarter. In fact, the company expects hotel occupancy in the quarter, compared with the year-ago period, to decline about 20 percentage points at Walt Disney World and 15 percentage points at Disneyland.

Time to Pull Back on JDS Uniphase, mistakenly reported that the company had forecast that revenue would resume growing during the March quarter. In fact, the company said no such thing. What the column should have said is that the most recent forecasts for that quarter's revenue were below previous levels. (
