The U.S. dollar held its ground against Canada's currency Tuesday, but the greenback was again declining in trading with the euro.
Recently, the euro was at $1.4136, up from $1.4086 on Monday. The Canadian dollar was at C$1.0011, down slightly from $1.0008 previously.
Against the yen, the dollar slipped to 114.45 from 114.86 a day ago. The pound fell to $2.0180 from $2.0212.
The U.S. currency was stronger against the Swiss franc, but weaker vs. the Australian dollar.
