The dollar fell against the euro and the yen Monday, as cautious comments last week from
Chairman Alan Greenspan raised concerns about the timing of an economic recovery in the U.S.
The greenback dropped to 131.63 yen from 132.21 Friday. The dollar slid to 89.43 cents against the euro.
The yen rose to 117.46 per euro from 117.95 in the prior session, and the pound went for $1.4483.
