Off-price retailer Burlington Stores (BURL - Get Report) said Chief Financial Officer Mark Katz resigned, effective immediately, to "pursue other professional opportunities."

John Crimmins, executive vice president, finance and chief accounting officer, was appointed interim finance chief, the company said in a press release Monday.

Katz has been with Burlington for 11 years. He has served as chief financial officer since January 2015.

Shares of Burlington fell 0.37% to $193.60 in premarket trading. The stock has risen 19.45% since the beginning of 2019.
