Real Money's Eric Jhonsa breaks down Nvidia’s January quarter earnings report and call with analysts.

Chipmaker Nvidia reports its January quarter (fiscal fourth quarter earnings) today after the close, and investors will be looking for updates on the semiconductor shortage, the state of the company’s gaming and data center businesses and perhaps news on Nvidia’s planned $40-billion acquisition of Arm.

Currently, the consensus among analysts polled by FactSet is for Nvidia to post quarterly revenue of $4.82 billion (up 55%) and adjusted EPS of $2.81.
