As consumers increasingly turn their backs on traditionally sugar-laden sodas and drinks in favor of healthier options, flavored water has become a trendy alternative.
On Tuesday, Dr Pepper Snapple (DPS) announced that it will drop a mind-numbing $1.7 billion to acquire Bai Brands. Bai drinks feature antioxidant-loaded flavored sparkling and still water with flavors ranging from Molokai Coconut to Sumatran Dragonfruit. Most of its beverages cost you five calories with one gram of sugar per serving.
