posted an 8.2% jump in November same-store sales, fueled by particularly strong growth abroad.
Total systemwide sales for the month surged 16.3%, or 9.6% when taking out the effect of foreign exchange.
U.S. same-store sales, or sales at stores open at least 13 months, rose 4.4%. McDonald's attributed the gain to its premium coffee offerings and breakfast selections, as well as its dollar menu.
In Europe, same-store sales climbed 10.8%, driven by growth in Germany, the U.K. and France.
The Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa region recorded a 12% surge in same-store sales. Japan, Australia and China led the performance, the company said.
