McDonald's Raises Dividend by 11%; Shares Flat

McDonald's has raised its quarterly dividend by 11% to 61 cents a share; shares are relatively flat in midday trading.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- McDonald's (MCD) - Get Report raised its quarterly dividend by 11% to 61 cents a share.

The increase brings McDonald's fourth-quarter dividend payout to about $650 million and cash returned to shareholders in 2010 to about $5 billion -- split between dividends and share repurchases -- the company said in a press release.

The dividend is payable on Dec. 15, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 1.

McDonald's has raised its dividend every year since 1976.

Shares of McDonald's stock are flat at $75.20 in midday trading.
