said Tuesday it earned $2.8 billion, or $1.20 a share, in the second quarter as worldwide volume growth increased 6%.
Coca-Cola said comparable EPS in the quarter was $1.17 a share. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.16 a share.
Revenue in the second quarter rose 47% to $12.7 billion on, among other things, strong growth in concentrate sales and the acquisition of
North American operations in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Analysts were expecting revenue of $12.38 billion.
