Carlsberg

, the Danish brewer, said third-quarter profit rose 31% as sales and beer volumes increased.

Carlsberg, which makes Tuborg, Baltika and Kronenbourg beers, earned 1.95 billion kroner ($362.2 million) in the third quarter, up from 1.49 billion kroner a year earlier. Revenue rose 8% to 17.7 billion kroner.

Carlsberg slightly raised its 2010 operating profit outlook, saying it had "seen a slightly more positive development in the Russian market conditions than previously anticipated." It expects an operating profit for 2010 of more than 10 billion kroner from a previous expectation of around 10 billion kroner.

The brewer said organic beer volume grew by 3% in the third quarter with volume growth in all regions.
