Legendary actor and director Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82, according to multiple reports. 

The Oscar-nominated Florida native was known for roles in such movies as "Deliverance," "The Longest Yard," "Gator," and "Smokey and the Bandit."

Between 1978 and 1982, Burt Reynolds was Hollywood's top-grossing actor, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

Reynolds is survived by his adopted son, Quinton.
