GitLab debuted on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol ‘GTLB’ on October 14.

Officially launched in 2014, GitLab is a completely remote company conceptualized by Ukrainian developers Dmitriy Zaporozhets & Valery Sizov. The platform allows developers to contribute and build better software easily.

"Software development is defining the speed of innovation, and we believe that with GitLab, The DevOps Platform, organizations in every industry can meet the ever changing demands of their customers," said GitLab CEO Sid Sijbrandij.

GitLab, which has over 1,500 team members in over 65 countries, makes money by selling its premium and ultimate products.

Football legend Joe Montana and actor Ashton Kutcher are among the company’s investors.
