Stocks were mixed in early trading Thursday, with the Dow and S&P lower amid a rise in the Nasdaq.
While many were quick to point blame on the Fed, following Wednesday's FOMC decision and subsequent commentary on inflation, Jim Cramer attributed Thursday's action to seasonality.
"We're in a seasonally weak time; it's not the Fed," Cramer said.
Attributing the statistic to famed trader Larry Williams, Cramer said that 22 out of 22 times, this has been a weak period for the markets.
