Economic data can have a heavy impact on the performance of the market. So, on days when there's a slew of data, how can investors sort through the noise to pinpoint the data points that will catch the attention of the algorithms and other investors?

He does point out that it's up to investors to do their homework, and look past the headlines. His example is KB Homes (KBH) - Get Report, which was being eyed negatively, had "the best second quarter in 13 years" in his opinion.
