A weekend note from Goldman Sachs (GS) - Get Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) Report sent markets lower on Monday, August 9.

Goldman lowered its forecast for fourth quarter U.S. growth, citing escalating fears that the trade war between the U.S. and China will trigger a recession.

Recently, Jim Cramer hasn't seen a recession on the horizon, but is the picture starting to change?

"I think Wall Street is caught up in doom and gloom. If you don't see the job losses, I don't think you can slowdown to that [recession] level," Cramer said.
