Stocks were lower in intraday trading Wednesday following a slew of earnings reports after the bell on Tuesday.
This comes as investors wait to hear from the Federal Reserve and President Joe Biden later Wednesday.
TheStreet's Joe Woelfel noted that investors expect that the Federal Reserve will not make any policy changes and will leave asset purchases unchanged. However, Wall Street will be paying close attention to indications of when the Fed might begin to trim its $120 billion in monthly asset purchases and the central bank's outlook on inflation.
