In "What's Ahead on Wall Street" for Tuesday, March 29, we'll be focusing on earnings from two big companies.
In the morning we'll have Lennar (LEN) - Get Report reporting, followed by Dave & Buster's (PLAY) - Get Report in the afternoon. Lennar's results are important since they'll shine a light on the national housing market.
For the latest quarter Wall Street is looking for earnings of $0.52 a share on revenue of nearly $2 billion. Both the top and bottom line are expected to increase from a year ago, boosted by higher selling prices and strong volume trends. But the company's gross margins will likely be impacted by rising land and construction costs.
On the economic calendar we'll have Federal Reserve governor John Williams, who will be giving a speech in Singapore, followed by the release of the S&P Case-Shiller home price index at 9 a.m. ET. Shortly thereafter we'll have the consumer confidence numbers. Later in the morning Fed Chair Janet Yellen is set to speak in New York.
