Walmart-Branded Roku Products to Hit Shelves Ahead of Holiday Season - TheStreet

Investors reacted warily Monday to the news of a big product deal between Walmart (WMT) - Get Report and TV streaming company Roku (ROKU) - Get Report  .

With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, two new Walmart-branded Roku products will be hitting the shelves of the giant retailer in the coming weeks as part of an exclusive deal with Walmart.

Retailing for $129, the onn Roku Smart Soundbar is an accessory that helps boost the sound quality of streaming TV, while the onn Roku Wireless Subwoofer, at $126, provides for "deeper, richer bass."

Walmart shares fell 1.05% to $116.92 in trading Monday, while Roku was up 0.17% o $106.95.

The pair of new products will be stamped with Walmart's electronics brand, Onn, and sold at a deep discount to the $180 versions Roku rolled out last month. One of the two big differences - there is no voice control, while the new, Walmart-branded subwoofer has less power, according to tech site Engadget.
